Josh Dancause

2010 Cortez

The House was small but full of warmth / The center of birthdays and holidays

Food and laughter filled the air / I remember this house / I always felt safe there

My second home

Strange changes come with age

Loss and mourning / A draft in vacant rooms / Objects in ruin / Only traces are left / And the colors no longer warm and vivid

I revisit these memories / I revisit this house / Hoping to find my way back home
